MaryLou Brown is the founder and President of MLB Associates, an executive search firm focused exclusively on positions of strategic influence in database and direct marketing.  She has been a leader in guiding the staffing activities of many companies, agencies and service providers as they move toward integrating marketing across multiple customer contact channels.  Clients include IBM, SAP Global, Gartner Group, Thomas Publishing, Dun & Bradstreet, Wunderman, FCB, Epsilon, and several eCommerce initiatives.  

Prior to her 10 years in executive recruiting, MaryLou spent 17 years on the corporate side, where she directed product marketing for a Scripps-Howard information subsidiary and for Key Bank. Following her early career at IBM, she was director of technology for the XIII Winter Olympic Games and the founder/President of a database marketing services company.  She is a member of the DMA and active in several regional Direct Marketing Clubs.  MaryLou holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and English, and a master’s in counseling and statistics.

In April 1999 Robin Anthony joined MLB Associates Executive Search as a Project Manager, responsible for research, targeting, and contacting potential candidates and networking avenues for the boutique firms retained and contingency search assignments. Before too long Robin had a solid grasp of Direct Marketing and the search process and was managing relationships with current and prospective clients and candidates.

Ms. Anthony is an intuitive executive recruiter possessing over eight years of placement experience. She began her career working within several world class hospitality organizations where she was involved in all aspects of sales, marketing, and relationship management.   Her background in the hospitality industry was great training ground for managing mutually beneficial relationships and understanding the professional and personal interests of all parties involved.    Robin works closely with candidates to learn their qualifications and career goals, as well as the type of culture they fit best within and with MLB's client companies as an extension of their team, learning how they operate, understanding their corporate culture and identifying their specific staffing needs.
