Position: | VP Marketing (heavy data) | Location: | Los Angeles, CA | Description: | The VP of Marketing is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the companys current and prospective customers, tracking their behavior and leveraging this customer information to the benefit of the company.
Principal Activities:
Hire and Retain talented analytical thinkers including data modelers, researchers and analysts. (both direct hires and contractors)
Develop key indicators and metrics that correlate to lifetime value and retention.
Facilitate cultural change with new processes that encourage team members to use data driven insights as the basis for or in support of, new product and service innovations, campaigns, offers, marketing initiatives and other decisions.
Tie a P&L to the business strategy and the action items in the department
Developed network of competent outside vendors and contractors, and manage relationships with performance based agreements.
Customer segmentation based on best practices, business strategy, customer mix, and flexible thinking to determine the optimal customer segmentation strategy.
| Requirements: | Utilizing insights from attitudinal and behavioral data for an ecommerce company with a large and diverse client base in new product and service development, marketing campaigns, customer care treatment programs, and other marketing or customer care initiatives.
Use of processes to continually spot market opportunities from customer research and data for new products, services, cross sell and upsell opportunities.
Revenue forecast modeling and methodology for LTV, and new product and service offerings in order allocate resources and prioritize initiatives.
Measurable successes in driving business growth through data-driven targeting, retention and optimization of highly profitable customers in a volume oriented business using web marketing.
Familiarity with SAS and Micro Strategies
